What most likely is showing up for you, based on your Elemental composition
For those who can't believe it's already June, a little reminder for you who observe the lunar calendar, we have been gifted by the Water Rabbit this lunar year with roughly an extra month before the arrival of the Wood Dragon on February 10, 2024. Echoing what I shared in Forecasts for The Year of the Water Rabbit, this year in general, and especially the latter half, will be a preparatory year for the collective and the individual; the nature of our preparations will differ from person to person, depending on your elemental composition and the astrological animal custodians assigned to you at birth.
These first few months likely felt like not much is happening and everything is happening simultaneously. With the entrance from the Wood season into the Fire season, the outer reality will begin to show more action, invite decisions that will need to be made quickly and from the place of heart instead of head. Fire season is an important time to step into visibility (a theme I will be holding space for the community in July - see Magick of Tea: Caught in the Sun - Being More Visible on July 15.), expand your network / village, and to begin selecting through the criteria of what does your body desire. Fire season is also an important phase to walk with what frightens you: there will be doubt, and there will also be illumination. They often come together.
A quick outline based on your Wu Xing (Chinese Five Elements) chart - though not exhaustive (I go into MUCH more detail in our one-on-ones for Five Elements Zodiac Readings). If you have the following Element(s) in your natal chart, these are likely the areas where learning, doubt and illumination will be (this is in addition to the theme of visibility):
Wood - considering wild alternatives (not only rational ones); saying yes instead of no; dietary shifts that actually suit your composition; being cautious around inflaming people, situations, and foods; leisure and flirtation; having fun with how you look; the power of visions; sigilwork; identity and creativity; creation.
Fire - activating your deepest dreams, allowing ‘indulgences’ that are actually investments in yourself; not allowing procrastination to hold you back; asking for help and leaning on others - even strangers; collective spells but done in a way that really suits everyone; your voice, your voice, your voice and making it audible / visible!
Earth - getting organized and learning what style of organization suits you; budgeting beyond money so that it includes your time and energy; effective spells and prayers; group magick especially around capacity and money; realism; co-direction; webbing and stars as shapes to learn from; shamanic work; fruitful rest; taking inventory.
Metal - holding yourself and allowing yourself to be held; holding others; conduction of energies though being realistic and self-caring about it; brutal honesty meets tender compassion; releasing demands; sharpening by softening; alchemical processes; distillation; mirrors as a magick aid; scrying.
Water - forecasting; emotional clarity; rejecting what's at face value to attune to the meaning via resonance; Yin-based work, and thereby re-discovery the sacred role of the Yang; ecstasy; saying goodbye; dream and symbols - noticing them and making meaning; reflecting; absorbing energy as fuel; feeding your next steps and massive hydrating for the upcoming Wood year.
