I love stones
I love stones.
In my Chinese Elements Zodiac chart, I have a lot of Wood and Fire. Earth (a form of it being stones) fuels the energy of Wood and grounds the vision for Fire. When I feel flimsy or depleted, seek to be captivated by inspiration, it’s the Earth I return to. Her solidity is felt by Wood, and the flickers of flames know it’s where I will always head back to. Earth as nutrients, Earth as liberation — against the reputation of being restrictive, rule-bound, or overly literal she may be known to be.
And this is it. My astrological animals are Horse and Snake. These are wild, unruly creatures— the Horse high-staminaed and rebellious, the Snake untamed yet watchful— both custodians being rooted in Fire. Fire, if unchecked, can lead to chaos that feels ecstatic — at first — that then becomes all consuming and self-annihilating. My lessons have been about harnessing Earth’s structure as a way to experience the unbound, the hidden, and uncharted in ways that still feel regulating and sustainable.
