How the Anatomy of Plants Can Make Your Spells More Effective
The plants that we choose (and more likely, the plants who choose us) for intentions, rituals, and spells that are designed to fulfil our desires not only can reflect the properties we choose to call in, but the part of the plant matters as well.
Generally, beyond the plants themselves we can layer the parts of their bodies to the function of the spell. Some guidelines relating to plant anatomy:
Roots - ancestral union, healing the family line, lineage-based magick, ancestral repatterning
Stems - intentions relating to structure, implementation
Leaves - absorption and conduction of energy, transformation, surfaces (leaves absorb sunlight and photosynthesize)
Flower Petals - attraction and magnetism, essence of the flower’s energy, beauty, love spells
Fruits / Seeds - divination and forecasting, spells to affect incoming energies and potentials, intuition and creative work
If you’re feeling called to work more with plants (which means they are calling you!), consider joining us for our monthly Magick of Tea sessions - in-person and live-stream with replay are available, and more extensively, in HOMING COVEN, an intimate gathering e-space for the spiritually inclined, where we support each other through deep listening, ritual work, and germinate energies for desired change.
