During our most recent Homing Coven gathering, the topic of 'false belief' came up. This term 'false belief' has been circulated among new agers, self-help and wellness communities, but the truth is, no fear and anxiety that often relate around worth, money, body image, rest, play, and pleasure are false. In my own esoteric work, the spirits whom I work with and learn from have reminded me that rather than identifying 'false beliefs' as so, they are more accurately residual effects of wounded ancestral beliefs.
In other words, 'false beliefs' do not signal 'wrong' thinking; 'false beliefs' signal trauma and unresolved pain. As we sat with this in the Coven, we felt validated as individuals, affirmed as a group, and we each experienced an enormous sense of compassion towards our family stories, cultural and societal stories, the burdens, the need to survive, the desire for the next generation to be held in safety and sweetness. We then did some magick work with future timelines and potentials.
In a time when so many of us are experiencing mental illness, autoimmune disease and long covid, chronic illness, disability, and more, layering the idea of us having 'false beliefs' is furthering burden and harm. We need spaces and people who are brave in recognizing and honouring their needs, their ancestral beliefs, and their voices. I am so grateful to be part of this group of witches, who are leaning into regulated, faceted, and integrated ways that are rooted in relating with the Seen and Unseen.
If you're looking for on-going healing work and tangible change through a supported community of co-resourcing of intuition, spellwork, ancestral magick, divination, and spirit communication, you'll find understanding, welcome, and support here at HOMING COVEN. Open to new and seasoned witches, wizards, magick practitioners, all other esotericists, and animists.
We meet on average twice monthly as a larger group, and twice monthly as coven cohorts that are spaces for more focused magick work. Plus seasonal events, such as the upcoming Spring Equinox, and portions of my On-Demand e-courses to support the current season. Sliding scale pricing, with monthly and annual options. Some financial assistance is currently available with priority given to folks who are experiencing financial hardship AND with oppressed identities such as Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour, LGBTQIA2+, neuro-divergent, or have disabilities (different abilities). I do not ask for proof of financial hardship.
